But seriously, this tutorial could also be applied to registering a.net,.us,.co.uk,.fr, and any other TLD. Enter in the domain name you want to purchase (example.com) and the GoDaddy form will automatically pull up the Domain Listing page. Your domain will be listed out with a sidebar explaining its current status: The top of the sidebar shows you a short description of the TLD, the website that it belongs to, the estimated search volume, and the estimated monthly search revenue. Log in to the GoDaddy account you want to transfer to and click Domains. 2.Navigate to the Plugins page for the platform you intend to use (for our purposes, we’re going to use SiteGround). 3. Click the Add a plugin button on the left-hand navigation pane and select the WordPress plugin you wish to use. (We’ll be using the WordPress version of Structured Text, but you should be able to use any plugin that meets your hosting needs.) 4. Once the plugin is added, click the Activate WordPress button. 5. After the plugin is activated, Log out of the GoDaddy account you’re using, then log back in. This will bring you into a dashboard where you can view the status of your site. You should notice a green checkmark next to the plugin and then a bar symbol next to it — that means it’s active. 6. Once your site is active, you can go ahead and click the red button to “Manage Domain.” 7. On this screen, you’ll see a wide variety of features available to you. The first thing that you should consider is how you’d like to make modifications to your site. While you should be able to upload most files directly onto your site, there are times when you need to use another software like FileZilla. Before choosing your browser of choice though, you need to first learn the necessary terminal commands.
